I really love Garvey's drawings and her sense of whimsy in all of her artwork. I also love that many of her drawings look like doodles. Garvey seems to be influenced by Midwestern life in the seventies as seen in many of her figures (through their dress and appearance). Garvey is an American artist. She also creates plush monsters that she sells. Her happiness and imagination also transfer to those animals or monsters. I can't find much on Garvey herself but I really do like her work. This could be because her work is not as well know or hasn't been exhibited as much.
