Bina Altera

I really like Bina Altera's artwork because she takes a different approach to collage. This American artist combines more than one image to create an entirely new one. To me her collages look less piecey and more like an entire image. She works mostly with digital media.

She creates editorial photo illustrations for magazines such as the New York Times. She has a degree from the art institute of Boston with a concentration in Illustration.

Altera says that she tries to pick scenes or photos that everyone can relate to so that they can pick one of their own memories to draw upon when looking at the piece. This way it's personal to everyone that looks at it and makes the viewing experience more emotional.
I really like her work because I love photography and have developed more of an interest for digital art.
